Involving in video editing change how I watch movie from,

 

 

"This girl is hot, this scene is cool, how they do that, is that real?"

 

to

 

"close up shot, zooming, panning, nice transition, this scene can be improved, never think of that"

 

 

 

 

Just finish watching Eragon, it's nice.

 

I was given a video camera and a tripod, arrived at Warisan Square at 1 pm.

 

The only instruction I got was, "Just shoot some footage now and shoot everything when Nicholas Chong Dong Liang sings"

 

Holding a device that I had no idea to operate at all, spent few minutes just to insert the tape, I start shooting.

 

There were two part of me speaking,

1. "This is a commercial video, I may spoil the reputation of the studio"

2. "I have no salary, I have a video camera on my hand, no one is supervising me, cool!"

 

Obviously 2nd part of me win, so i shot almost every stores, people shopping, show girls, someone ridding a horse which shits while walking, a tall clown with extended legs, someone catching money from the air, someone dancing cha cha with disco beat and whatever I like. The point is, my mind was blank when doing it.

 

It was sure people went for Nicholas, the crowd was crazy when he appeared. He was a simple shot for me since he was on the stage all time. In the end of the show, I ended my video with scene of crowd leaving slowly. I pressed the stop record button (which is also the record button) to end my work. Then I realized..... it had just started to record

 

I was in the studio from 8 am, Warisan Square at 1 pm, the shooting ended around 7 pm, no breakfast, no lunch, no dinner, stood all day long and end up missing the main part of the video. I wonder how my boss face will look like on Mon.

 

Choatic, but really fun.

 

This is the end of 2nd week of my training for my course which requires no training.
